🌟 Meet Carissa: A Journey of Passion, Parenthood, and Purpose 🌈

I am Carissa, a seasoned educator, devoted mother, and a unique soul who made her debut on this Earth in the splendid year of 1983.

Embarking on my 17th year in the noble profession of teaching, I find myself currently immersed in the captivating world of special education, specifically as a reading specialist. This marks my second year in the realm of special education, and oh, the joy it brings to my heart is immeasurable!

From the luminous corridors of Pre-K to the spirited realms of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-grade ELAR (English Language Arts and Reading), my teaching journey has woven a tapestry of experiences over the years. Each chapter has enriched my understanding, sharpened my skills, and fueled my unyielding passion for cultivating young minds.

Beyond the confines of the classroom, I proudly wear the cherished hat of a mother since the blissful year of 2010. Parenthood, with its whirlwind of laughter, love, and the occasional chaos, has been an unparalleled adventure that constantly shapes and colors the canvas of my life.

I’m a passionate educator shaping young minds during the day and a dedicated mom to two spirited kiddos and a couple of furry friends when the school bell rings.

Jackson is a eighth-grader, navigating the wild ride of Junior High School, and Ella is my third-grader, who brings an abundance of joy and curiosity to our home. Together with my ever-supportive husband, Shawn, and our lovable fur companions, Bella and Scout, we form a dynamic family team.
